Pravasi Legal Cell (PLC) Bahrain Chapter proudly presented the second edition of “CONNECTING PEOPLE,” a talk show on employment-related issues, along with a comprehensive question and answer session featuring esteemed legal experts. The event took place on the 23rd of September at the prestigious KIMS Health Auditorium in Ummal Hassam.
The highlight of the evening was the gracious presence of His Excellency Vinod K Jacob, the Indian Ambassador designated to the Kingdom of Bahrain, who graced the occasion as the chief guest. Accompanying him were distinguished Guest of Honors: Dr. Hassan Eid Bokkammas, Member of Parliament, and Hussain Al Hussaini, Guidance and Awareness Head at the Ministry of Labour.
The event commenced with a warm and welcoming speech by Mr. Sudheer Thirunilath, the Country President of PLC Bahrain Chapter, followed by a virtual address by Advocate Jose, the Founder of PLC, who extended his thoughts and insights to the audience.
To ensure a holistic approach to the attendees’ well-being, the event featured a health awareness talk by Dr. Hajira Begum, an Internal Medicine Specialist at KIMS Health, who enlightened the audience on various health-related aspects.
In a significant moment during the event, 973 Lounge, in collaboration with KIMS Health Center, launched the “CARE FOR HER” privilege card, a testament to their commitment to women’s well-being and empowerment.
The centerpiece of the evening was the engaging talk show on employment issues. Distinguished legal experts, including Advocate Madhavan Kallath, Adv. Wafa Ansari, and Adv. Mohammed Maklooq, shared their valuable insights and knowledge on employment-related matters. The talk show was expertly moderated by senior journalist Raji Unnikrishnan, ensuring a dynamic and informative session.
Audience engagement was paramount, with attendees actively participating by posing thought-provoking questions to the panel of experts, who provided clarifications and guidance.
The event witnessed the presence of eminent personalities, including Her Excellency Wijeratne Mendis, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka, and diplomats from the Nepalese Embassy and Bangladesh Embassy. Additionally, representatives
from the Kenyan Community, along with many other dignitaries, lent their support to this insightful gathering.
As the evening came to a close, Mrs. Sushma Gupta, the General Secretary of PLC Bahrain Chapter, extended heartfelt gratitude during her vote of thanks, acknowledging the collective effort that made the event a resounding success.
PLC Governing Council members Toji (Treasurer), Francis Kaitharath ( Media Coordinator) Sreeja Sredharan (Asst General Secretary), Vinod Narayanan, Hari Babu, Jai Sha ,Ganesh Murthy , Mohammed Salim Manikuttan, Preeti Praveen, Raji Unnikrishnan ,Rithin Raj and Subhash Thomas moderated the programme.
