SC directs the Central Government to consider the PIL filed by PLC for repatriation of Indians stranded abroad as a representation

The Hon’ble Supreme Court heard the PIL titled Pravasi Legal Cell v Union of India &Ors. (Diary No. 10898/2020) filed for repatriating Indians stranded abroad on 13.04.2020. The Hon’ble Supreme Court comprising of the bench of Hon’ble Chief Justice, Justice L. Nageswara Rao, Justice Mohan M. Shantanagoudar disposed of the matter after directing the Central Government to treat the writ petition as a representation.

It is worth mentioning that the instant petition lead to the Vande Bharat Mission.
